Mr. Olsen began teaching private music lessons in 1993 in the Pittsburgh area.  Jeremy has experience playing and teaching a diverse range of musical styles and skill sets: Classical, Jazz, Blues, Big Band, Gospel, Contemporary Christian, Country, Rock, R&B.  Additionally, Jeremy is heavily involved in using and programming synthesizers and computers for music. A 1999 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Jeremy enjoys integrating software and hardware synthesis for use both on-stage and in the studio, and offers students a unique perspective on the intersection of computers and music. Jeremy has performed in many ensembles and bands in the Pittsburgh area throughout the past 20 years, and is currently the pianist and musical director for “Bo Wagner’s ‘Sinatra’”, and is keyboardist for “Sputzy and the Soul Providers”, the two house worship bands at New Community Church in Wexford, PA (“Soul Food, I.N.C.” and “The Adam Swiger Band”), and freelances with other singers and bands around the Pittsburgh area.  Jeremy also produces and records backing tracks and writes jazz transcriptions for clients across the globe.
