Jessica Gist is a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music, where she earned her M.M. degree in flute performance studying with renowned flutists Alberto Almarza and Jeanne Baxtresser. She holds a B.M. degree in flute performance from Florida State University, studying under Eva Amsler. Jessica plays with chamber groups in the Pittsburgh area and recently was invited to compete in the 2010 National Flute Association Young Artist Competition held in Anaheim, CA. She is the Music Extension Program flute teacher for Carnegie Mellon University and teaches a studio of private flute students in Pittsburgh.
